Sakthivel is an enthusiastic young man in his early 20s. His inspiration to start Mhaian Kulfi came from the dearth of good quality kulfis in the city of Chennai. He took it upon himself to restore the taste and nutrition in kulfis. At the age of 20, Sakthivel, a self-made man already, took the bold step of abandoning his lucrative event management business in pursuit of his passion for kulfis. He enrolled in several workshops related to ice creams, dairy & confectionary to learn and perfect the art of making kulfis and desserts. He has even completed a short-term course in Bangalore Dairy, Bangalore.
With a modest investment partly funded by him and partly by the bank, he commenced his business. Thanks to the response of the public to his kulfis, his business has grown considerably since April 2012.
Sakthivel draws motivation and encouragement from his fellow competitors. He wishes to see his company flourish and desires ‘Mhaian Kulfi’ to be known and loved by everyone. Through his company he hopes to provide more employment and contribute to the society.
